There must be a UK record out there somewhere waiting to be challenged. Spinning and deadbaiting methods also produce specimen Pike. Livebaiting is not allowed and we prefer that only marine deadbait is used. We recommend that all Pike are returned unharmed to the loch.

Loch Venachar has an abundant stock of Pike. The surroundings are spectacular and the fishing excellent. Boats with outboard engines are available within restrictions and there are many places on the banks where you can fish so there is plenty room for everyone to enjoy their sport. Fly fishing is becoming increasingly popular - this year alone we have caught numerous 20lb+ Pike on single handed fly rods. The largest Pike recorded from the loch was 42lb in 2002.
